What do you sell?
All our maps and prints are antique, (defined as at least 100 years old). All the maps were drawn or printed over 100 years ago and we identify the process that was used to produce the work. Sometimes we may have an item for sale that is not quite classed as 'antique' if thats the case we make this clear when describing the item.
Do you sell reproductions?
No, all our maps and prints are original
How do you know how old a map is?
We do our utmost to date items as accurately as possible. Some maps have this information within the map itself along with other publication information for example at the bottom of a map. However this usually refers only to the first publication date and later editions are have to be identified by some other feature or indicator with in the map. Most times we resort to various reference works, especially with older maps to give the best possible accuracy with dating items.
Do you buy antique maps and prints?
We do buy and sell rare maps and antique prints and are happy for you to offer us items for sale. Please be aware however we do not provide a valuation service. You can get in touch by using the CONTACT page.
what forms of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and Paypal.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes we have been shipping items worldwide for some time and have an excellent record for our care and attention to detail when packing items for shipment. We regularly ship to areas in North & South America, parts of Asia, Australia, Thailand, Japan, China and most of mainland Europe and of course the UK.
How do you ship valuable items?
We ship items using one of two methods depending on the item and its size. Either flat packed with sufficient protective board packaging or we ship items within strong protective core tubes to avoid damage in transit.
Are items insured when shipped?
All items are shipped with insurance to cover the purchase price of the item. If and item does not arrive you will be given a full refund. Likewise if an item arrived damages again we will issue a full refund on the return of the item to us. Please check our Terms & Conditions for more details on our returns policy.
