A Large engraved map from Smith's New English Atlas Being a Complete Set of County Maps Devided into Hundreds. On which is delineated all the Direct and Cross Roads, Part of which are from actual Measurement, Cities, Towns, and most considerable Villages, Parks, Gentlemen's Seats, Rivers and Navigable Canals...
Overall good condition, some age tone and offsetting, good plate mark, excellent detail and original wash and outline colour. Engraved area: 500mm x 445mm (19.75" x 17.5") a large map with good margins on all sides. Watermarked J. Ruse 1802 heavy wove paper, blank to verso
Two large sheets conjoined, some verso conservation restoration to sheet edge tears none affecting engraved image, verso centre fold strengthened, not uncommon with such large maps.
